I love this! Very original, both the idea behind it and the way you executed this! I hope your entry gets an inclusion... or at least a shoutout. So cool!

CassandraLC responds:

Thanks so much! I'm glad you like it! :D

Nice! I especially like the feeling of movement and the lighting/shading. I'm just curious as of why you choose to be a dwarf/pirate guy :1

LeCanart responds:

well, whem i play rpg videogames i like to be a tanky character and i love fantasy world and dwarf are usally that kind of character so i tought it would be really cool to be a powerfull warrior haha and also being an edgy assasing is too mainstream

Stunning! I really like the idea behind it, it is excellently pulled off! Also, wise use of colors and materials. Keep uploading, I'd love to see more from you!

JustNocole responds:

Aaaa thank you so much!! It really made my day, you're awesome :')

Nice atmosphere you created there. I think this would have benefited greatly from some harder, more pronounced contrast, shade and highlights. I like this a lot, tho.

Clean, crisp execution. The ghost is what really catches my eye, nicely pulled off!

Thank you so much!

Hey, that's not half bad! Crisp, clean execution. I recommend you work on your color choices and detail application, because if comes off a bit bland and plain. Overall, good job.

Hey there! That's a cool piece, a bit sloppy and unfinished, but nice effort. It's all about practice and passion, and I'm sure that if you have those two, you'll be a great artist one day, if that's what you want.

If you want to know about free art programs, maybe try Krita or Gimp... Maybe a cracked version of Photoshop.

There's many things you can improve on:
Try using different, more muted, even darker colors, that will give it a sense of realism and will comunicate better the emotional aspect of the piece.
Try using a similar tone of color for the whole ghost. It's an ethereal entity, so those colors don't make much sense. Variety is good, but use it with moderation.
Try evening the sky, maybe go with darker tones in the top and lighter ones in the bottom, or viceversa, that will make it more realistic.
Remeber the light sources and how they affect the shading and lighting.

I most compliment your filling-in and the coloring, very clean and crisp. I'm sure you will do way better in future occasions.

A very creative and quite efficient way to express the sentiment of sadness and loss. I can tell this is handmade, with... watercolors, I think. Congratulations for that. I also like the colors you used. If I could give any criticism, it would be that you could improve on the application of shade and light, to make the central parts stand out more. Very nice work.

M-Kus responds:

Thank you very much :)
I painted it with gouache and then did some changes on the computer.

Your piece is one of the best I've found so far. I like the palette you used, it evokes a Cyberpunk-ish kind of dystopian future. The sky could be betterly executed, maybe by making the brushstrokes more subtle. I think by fixing that the piece would go up a notch.
Overall, a very creative interpretation.
